Welcome to the Center for Sensors and Sensor Systems

This Center has been established by a grant from the K-State's Targeted Excellence Program and is partly based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. 0551626 . The goal of Targeted Excellence is to enhance collaborative efforts in the state of Kansas and all parts of the university community to enable K-State to reach a top 10 status by 2015. The goals of this center include the following:

·        Fostering multi-disciplinary research to address challenges posed by the next generation of sensor systems.

·        Providing the infrastructure support necessary to enable K-State researchers to perform fundamental research in sensor systems.

·        Developing a sensor experimentation test-bed to enable K-State researchers to plug-in new technologies into the test-bed for evaluation and feedback.
