About Me
Educational Experience
I have been enrolled in Kansas State University for five years now. I began in the Department of Computer Science. After two years of study I began to have a change of heart and without officially changing major took courses in Electrical Engineering. I was looking for something that I could create, or something that I felt I built "from the ground up" (not to say that developing a program isn't such a task). I took a few courses in the department and finally decided this was not for me after getting a real taste of what an electrical engineer was when I was given the task of creating a working alarm clock (assembly code is definitely not a love of mine). I then took some courses in Management Information Systems and quickly decided that my skills would simply be better placed in something more challenging. I finally got what I was looking for when I took class in Digital Art where we explored HTML, Flash, website design, digital graphic development, and other type of digital media. I had already picked up web site development in my free time and found the class to be very interesting and related to some technologies I had studied in computer science. I then returned back to computer science now more excited than ever because I found that I could truly get what I wanted by working with online technologies such as Java, PHP, and others.

I have since gotten a job with the Computer Science Department where I handle the project website for the department, and then promoted to the Webmast of the department. This has involved basic HTML, dynamic page creation, online applications, database management and the list gets longer with everyday on the job. I remain very excited to enter the job market to see where I can have the opportunity to continue to create more functional applications, Internet sites, and other media for people to use everyday. I take great pride in making my work functional, easy to use, and graphically pleasing as I feel that my round about knowledge can help to truly increase the usability of anything I work with. I feel very strong about making web sites that adhear to current standards put forth by W3C, specifically those of HTML and CSS.

Activities and Hobbies
I am a very active person. I have found that the best way to focus my energy when I need a break from school work is to participate in athletics. I have pretty much played every major sport with some success. The most enjoyable of which would be soccer. I joined the Men's Club Soccer team my sophomore year and I have remained a very active member to this very day. I have found many ways to be involved in this club, from webmaster to president I have been all around. I not only enjoy the workouts and competition, but also being a member of team ... a successful team that achieves the goals that where set forth before it.

As I prepare for the "real world" I realize that being healthy and active have become part of my life. As I leave college I will no doubt continue my habits of working out, competing, and being a member of a team.
