CIS 764  Fall 2008



Shane Blazek graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2008 with an degree in Electronics Technology.  He is now a part time graduate student in the MSE program at Kansas State University and a full time software engineer in Kansas City, Missouri.




Josh Bowen graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BS in Computer Engineering in 2003. Since then he has been working as a software engineer at the NNSA's Kansas City Plant operated by Honeywell. He expects to graduate with a Master of Software Engineering degree in 2009. He is an experienced .net programmer.

Ryan Bradley received his Bachelors degree in Information Science and Minor in Leadership Studies from Kansas State University in May 2008.  He is enrolled in the MSE program.  He expects to graduate in Dec. 2009.

Adam J. Bunton  received the B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in May 2007.  Adam is enrolled in the Master of  Software Engineering program, expecting to graduate in 2010.  He is employed by the Cerner Corporation as a Software Engineer. His main interests revolve around open source and Java development. Adam is married and had a son Brennan born on August 14th.



Luis Carranco is working for the Master of Software Engineering degree at KSU with expected completion by Spring 2010. He received his Bachelor's degree on Computer Science at Universidad Central del Ecuador in Dec 2003. He was awarded a scholarship from the Fulbright Commission. He is interested in web development, database systems,
security and project management. He has worked for software development companies in his Ecuador and as a freelance professional.



Neil Crose has almost 7 years of professional experience as a system administrator as a contractor for the US Army. He currently pursuing a bachelor’s in Technology Management and is estimated to be completed by December 2010. Neil is from Kansas City, and his interests include mobile technology and music.




Kate Forster  graduated from Governors State University in Illinois with an MS in Management Information Systems in 2002. She works as a Database Application Developer for an Illinois Police Department and teaches Tae Kwon Do part-time. She is hoping to graduate in 2010.




Robert Foster is a Master of Science student in Computer Science at Kansas State University with estimated completion in Decemeber 2008.  Robert completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech in Computer Science and Mathematics and is currently employed with Shared Spectrum Company based in the D.C. metro area.




Srinivas Gudelli received his Bachelors degree in City Planning from JNTU School of Planning and Architecture, Hyderabad, India in 2004. He is persuing his Master of Science in Geography with expected completion in Fall 2008. His Research interests are GIS, transportation planning, urban ecosystems, enterprise database systems and remote sensing. He worked as GIS Analyst in Speck SpatialTech Ltd, India,  as a Planning Engineer in Ramky Infrastructure Ltd., and as a GRA for the project 'Geodatabase for Carribean Islands'.


Angela Hall  is a student in the Master of Software Engineering program and expects to graduate in May 2010. She recieved an Associate of Arts degree from Hutchinson Community College in 2004. She attended McPherson College, recieving a B.S. in Psychology in 2006 and a B.S. in Computer Science in 2007.  She is the Director of Information Systems for Memorial Hospital of McPherson, KS.



Carlos Kirkconnell is a Master of Software Engineering student at Kansas State University. He is a Fulbright - LASPAU scholar.  His estimated completion date is May 2010. On 2004 he completed his bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering at Universidad Tecnologica Centroamericana (UNITEC) in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He has both worked as a Project Manager for a software company called IntegraSoft located in Honduras and as a university professor at UNITEC. His current interests are Ruby on Rails, agile development methodologies and web-based applications.


Mustafa Mohammed received his Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology-Osmania University in May 2008. He is enrolled in the Master of Software Engineering program in Computing and Information Sciences at Kansas State University. He is working as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Agronomy. He plans to graduate by May 2010. His areas of interest include Software Engineering and Computer Networks.


Sruthi Nagulavancha has completed her Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Jawaharlal  Nehru Technological University and has enrolled in the Masters of Science in Computing and Information Sciences at Kansas State University.  She expects to graduate by Fall 2010. Her areas of interest include databases, artificial intelligence and data mining.



Hamsa Gayatri Palepu received her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (May 2008). She is currently enrolled into Master's Program in Computing and Information Sciences at Kansas State University. She is expected to complete her degree by August 2010.

Mallikarjuna Rao Pinjala completed his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and
Engineering from Osmania University, INDIA in May 2004. He worked four years in Networking Domain at BROADCOM. He is enrolled in the Master of Science program in Computer and Information Sciences at KSU. He expects to graduate by May 2010. His areas of interest are computer networks, network security and database systems.
 

Ana Stanescu completed her Bachelor studies at the Romanian-American University, Bucharest, Romania in 2006.  She graduated from James Madison University, Virginia, in 2008, with a Master’s degree in Secure Software Engineering. She is  in the PhD program at KSU and is a GTA in the CIS department.




Arthi Subramanian is a graduate student pursuing the Master of Software Engineering degree at K-State. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Easwari Engineering College (affiliated to the Anna University) Chennai, India. She worked as an Assistant Systems Engineer in Tata Consultancy Services Limited. She plans to complete her MSE degree by December 2010.

Damian Tamayo was born in Kansas City, Kansas. He received his bachelor's in Computer Information Systems from Kansas State University in the Fall of 2007. He is enrolled in the M.S.E. program at Kansas State University with expected graduation by May 2010. He has had internships at Cerner, LSI, and Lockheed Martin working with databases, firmware, and hardware and device drivers.


Srinivasa Aditya Uppu received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Scienceand Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, INDIA in May 2007. He is in the M.S. program Computer Science with expected graduation in May 2009. He is a GraduateTeaching Assistant in CIS.  His areas of interest are computer networks,
operating systems and databases.
