Chicken Mushroom

Ingredients

1/2 kg chicken pieces [small pieces]
250 gm mushrooms [halved]
2 onions [chopped]
1/4 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
3 tbsp oil
2 tbsp maida [flour]
salt
chopped coriander leaves

Procedure

  1. Marinate chicken pieces with salt, pepper and turmeric powder for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil on a pan and fry the chicken pieces till golden brown
  3. Drain the pieces place separately in a big flat casserole
  4. In the same oil (if less then add some oil) and fry onions till transparent
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste and simmer for 2 minutes
  6. Add red chili powder and garam masala
  7. Add maida and stir till light brown
  8. Add chicken broth and mix well stirring continuously
  9. Simmer for 2-3 minutes
  10. Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces
  11. Bake it for 20 minutes at 250 F
  12. Remove from the oven and spread mushrooms over it
  13. Bake again for 10-15 minutes (till the chicken is cooked)
  14. Garnish with coriander leaves
